5.4 Adjusting the cutting height
Before making any adjustments, the tractor engine must be switched off, the ignition key removed, the parking brake
engaged, the gear engaged, and the power take-off disconnected.
To adjust the cutting height, the pivoting wheels at the front must be adjusted by moving the appropriate spacers (E) (See fig. 10)
and the roller's height adjusted.
To adjust the height of the roller, unscrew the screws (A) and (B) and turn the screw (C) and when the adjustment is finished
remember to lock the screws (A) and (B).
C
A
Adjust the height of the roller, making sure that the numbers indicated by the arrow (D) are the same on both sides of the
machine.
Do not work with the machine adjusted to its minimum position as the flails can touch the ground and therefore damage
the machine, people or objects in the vicinity.
When the machine is lifted with the use of the three-point linkage of the tractor to adjust the cutting height, prop up the
machine before starting the engine.
When the type C cutting blade is installed (see Chap. 4) check that it does not interfere with any internal part of the
machine before starting up.
Make the adjustment using the appropriate tools and preferably with a second person present.
