3. ESSENTIAL HEALTH AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

In order to avoid injuries you must pay attention to the information in the safety labels applied to the machine.
Always make sure that there are no people within the working range, especially children.
Always keep this booklet at hand. Read all the instructions carefully before using the machine. If in doubt, contact the technicians
at your Authorised Service Center directly.
When the machine is not working, turn off the tractor, park on flat ground with the parking brake engaged, with the gear engaged,
the PTO disengaged and the equipment laid on the ground.
The front rubber protections must always be in a good condition to prevent throwing stones or other materials.
Do not carry out any cleaning or maintenance work with the engine running or with the power take-off engaged.
Before carrying out any maintenance with the container lifted, lock the hydraulic jacks using the mechanical safety
locks as described in paragraph 6.4 "Replacing the flails".
Before engaging the power take-up, make sure the rpm are set to the specified speed (540). For moving on public
roads, it is necessary to comply with road traffic regulations.
When working, the operator must use protective goggles and dust mask if the tractor does not have a cab.
It is not allowed to stand in the opening area of the hydraulic collector.
It is good to remember that a prudent operator is the best safeguard against injury.
Any arbitrary modification to the machine relieves the manufacturer from any liability for any resulting damages.
The Manufacturer declines any and all liability for non-compliance with the safety and accident prevention regulations described
below.
The machine has been designed to be used by only one operator who must have read and understood the contents of
this manual.
If the booklet is lost or damaged, request a replacement copy from the manufacturer.
Before using the machine make sure that all safety devices are correctly positioned and in good working order; if any
breakdowns or damage to the protections occur, replace them immediately.
It is compulsory to wear suitable clothing as detailed in this manual and by the laws in force in the country where the
equipment is used; in any event wide, loose clothing, belts, rings and chains should be avoided.
Never leave the machine unattended when it is running.
Before getting down from the tractor and before any cleaning, maintenance or adjusting operations, engage the
parking brake, turn off the engine, remove the ignition key from the dashboard, engage the gear, and disable the
P.T.O.
Work on the hydraulic system should only be carried out after the pressure has been released.
Check the condition of the hydraulic hoses; in case of deterioration, replace them.
Inspect the ground before using the machine in order to detect and remove any obstacles (stones, iron wire, protruding
manhole covers, etc.)
Check the conditions of the ground bearing in mind that that it is not possible to operate with grass that is too wet.
Do not go around bends at high speed; lift the bar to the heads of the mower if you work on a slope.
On sloping terrain, it is preferable to operate in the direction of the greatest slope to avoid overturning.
Choose a forward speed that is suitable for the conditions of the ground you are working on.
When working especially with very high growth, make sure there are no people or animals nearby.
When moving on public roads, you must comply with the traffic regulations in force in the country of use.
• If vibrations or unusual noises occur while working, immediately turn off the tractor engine and find out what the cause is.
• During use, the machine may give rise to emissions of dust. It is advisable to periodically check the filters on the
ventilation system of the tractor cabin or else use suitable respiratory protection systems such as dust masks or filter
masks.
• Before going on public roads, check that the stabilizers are locked in the transportation position.
