14. Coolant heating device (optional)
- Contents a heating element in the engine block that heats the enginme oil for easier starting under cold environ-
ment conditions.
- The heating element works permanent with standard net power 230 V /16 A. The power consumtion is 1500 W.
- The engine oil heating with the coolant heating enables an easy starting at every time and the full deliverance of
electrical power short after starting.
– The engine oil heating and the coolant heating are acessories for special customer order and recommended with
automatic emergency power supplies.
-- Especially Automatic Emergency devices profits by the easy starting procedure with a preheated diesel engine.
– The coolant heater need a genset-independent power supply 230 V/50 Hz.
The coolant heater warms the coolant and through the warmed coolant the engine block and the air intake duct.
So is the start at deep environment temperatures possible.
The coolant heater is with hoses connected to the engines coolant circulation. A 1500 W/ 230 V heating ele-
ment warms the coolant and and forces the circulation in the small engine loop. The coolant temperature is con-
trolled with a built-in sensor.
If the engine runs the coolant temperature increases and the heater is switched off as soon as the sensor threshold
is achieved.
