13.3 Replacement of Cooling Liquid (Every 2 Years)
– Remove the cooler filler plug.
CAUTION! Never try to unscrew the filler plug if the cooling liquid is hot – danger of scalding!
– Place an appropriate vessel under the cooler.
– Open the drain cock (Turn lever horizontal).
– Drain the cooling liquid.
– Close the drain cock.
– See that there are no leaks.
Filling and Removal of Air from the Cooling System:
– At the manufacturing plant the engines are filled with cooling liquid with the freezing temperature of -30 °C.
– Remove the plug from the expansion tank. Slowly fill the cooling liquid until the normal level mark. Close the
plug.
– Start the engine and warm it up to the temperature regulator valve opening temperature (the upper cooler tank
becomes warm at this time). Let the engine run with the nominal rotational frequency. All the air should leave
the system through the expansion tank in the form of air bubbles.
– Shut down the engine and let it cool down. Open the plug of the expansion tank, add cooling liquid to the
required level and close the plug.
– After the next start check the cooling liquid level again.
Attention! Never use the engine only with water. A suitable mix of water and antifreezer should be used.
Deliverance take place with -30 °C antifreezer.
