Electric power generator sets are delivered with installed protective devices. Do not disassemble any electric protection devices and protection covers from the electric components of the electric power
generator sets. Do not use spare parts of other manufacturers.
-
Beware, exhaust gases are poisonous! It is prohibited to use electric power generator sets in closed unventilated premises.
-
ATTENTION! Even with the use of a special hose for exhaust gases there is a hazard that toxic gases may accumulate inside the premise. Therefore, operation of electric power generator sets inside pre-
mises is allowed only if good ventilation is maintained and fire-fighting rules are strictly observed. The exhaust gas spiral wrap hose must not come in touch with any combustible materials and the
exhaust gases should not contact fire-hazardous materials. Beware of fire hazard!
-
Take care when handling fuels. Fuels are explosion- and fire-hazardous. NEVER fill the set while operating. Prevent fuel spills. Use special appliance for fuel dosing when filling the tank with fuel.
-
Do not start the electric power generator set in close vicinity of inflammable materials. Beware of fire hazard!
-
Take care not to touch hot parts of the electric power generator set. Beware of burns!
-
Every day prior to starting the electric power generator set check fuel level in the fuel tank, and serviceability of the lubrication, cooling and exhaust gas systems in order to prevent damage of the elec-
tric power generator set. Liquid spills may cause fire.
-
Cables and any flammable materials should not be located close to the hot parts of the engine (for instance, the exhaust pipe).
-
Never operate the electric power generator set with loose storage battery terminals. Loose terminals may be the cause of charging generator failure.
-
Check reliability of tightening of the storage battery terminals. Do not disconnect the storage battery during operation of the electric power generator set – it may cause failure of the charging genera-
tor.
-
Starting of the electric power generator set and installation of the protective devices, as described in Section 4, should be performed by qualified personnel. Execution of these operations is a danger to
health and life.
-
When attending the operating electric power generator set for a long time, use personal hearing protection aids.
-
Strapping of the electric power generator set prior to lifting may be performed only by using the special lifting eye which is not part of the delivery set. Strapping by using any other construction ele-
ments is not allowed.
-
Under no circumstances should the positions of the controls be changed; and the red seals used to protect the controls should not be touched. Otherwise, the warranty of the manufacturer is void. In
case of any difficulty or failure seek for help from the manufacturing plant or an authorized service center (see the list of service centers). If there is a necessity to replace any parts, use only original
parts for replacement.
1.
Design and Principle of Operation of an Electric Power Generator Set
1.1 Design of Generator
Electric power generator sets use brushless synchronous generators with insulation class H and environment protection degree as per IP 23. The radio frequency interference level is N as per VDE 0875,
and corresponds to the requirements of Part 1 of Standard DIN VDE 0879.
1.2 Design of Electric Power Generator Unit
The electric power generator unit consists of an engine, generator, switch box and a fuel tank which is simultaneously the base of the structure. The generator is directly connected with the engine shaft.
The engine and the generator are secured on the frame with the help of antivibration mounts.
1.3 Adjustment of Output Voltage Parameters
The electronic controller serves to adjust the output voltage. The engine is equipped with an automatic controller ensuring constant rotational frequency of the engine to an accuracy +5 % till maximum
load. The maximum output voltage of the generator with no load is not more than 250 V. With the nominal load the output voltage is not less than 207 V.
Attention: Power consumers that cannot allow the specified maximum and minimum voltages may be damaged!

1.4 Basic Equipment

All basic models of electric power generating units are equipped with an electric starter and output terminals for the connection of load. The engine and generator assembly is secured to the frame via
antivibration mounts. All units have switch boxes housing all electric components, output terminals, etc.
