4.4 Connection control
Once the head transmitter has been electrically installed, please complete the following checks:
Unit condition and specification
Are the temperature head transmitters or the cables damaged (visual check)?
Temperature head transmitter electrical connection
Do the cables used fulfil the required specification?
Are the cables installed tension relieved?
Are the cables installed parted from another - no loop or crossover?
Were all the necessary precautions for potential compensation and grounding cor-
rectly taken care of?
Are all the terminal screws properly tightened?
Electrical connection of the PROFIBUS PA
Are all components (T pieces, connection boxes, unit plugs, etc.) correctly connec-
ted with each other?
Has each fieldbus segment been correctly terminated at both ends?
Does the maximum fieldbus cable length comply with PROFIBUS specifications?
Does the maximum length of the spurs comply with PROFIBUS specifications?
Is the fieldbus completely screened and correctly grounded?
