PRODUCT INSTALLATION

3.1 - Preliminary checks – Application limits
Caution! – Before proceeding with installation,
check the condition of the product components,
suitability of the selected model and conditions of
the intended installation environment.
- Compare the nominal technical characteristics of this
motor with those of your shutter. Do NOT install the
motor if its technical characteristics (nominal mo -
tor torque, speed of rotation, and operating time) are
not suitable for the movement of the shutter. In
particular, the motor torque must NOT be greater
than that required to move the shutter. Further
usage limitation can be found in the chapter on tech-
nical characteristics.
- Check the internal diameter of your shutter roller,
referring to fig. 2.

3.2 - Assembly and installation of the tubular
motor
Attenzione! - Before proceeding with assembly
and installation of the motor tube, carefully read the
warnings in paragraph 1.2. Incorrect installation may
cause serious injury.
To assemble and install the tubular motor, refer to fig. 5.
See the catalogue of Nice products or visit the website
www.niceforyou.com to choose the limit switch crown
(a), the traction wheel (b) and the fastening bracket (e) of
the tubular motor.
3.3 - Installation of optional accessories (not in -
cluded in the package)
To install a wall-mounted push button panel or other
optional accessories, refer to fig. 6 and the instructions
in chapter 9.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS

4.1 - Connection cable
The electrical cable of the tubular motor consists of 6
wires, divided as follows:
wires for connection to the electrical mains
- BROWN: = electric phase:
- BLUE: = Neutral
- YELLOW-GREEN: = Earth
wires for the connection of optional accessories

- WHITE/BLACK: = Low voltage common
- WHITE: = TTBus / Open or step-step
60 mm
- WHITE/ORANGE: = Sensor bus / Close
For connecting a wall-mounted push button panel or
other accessories. See chapter 9.
Warnings:
- Incorrect connections can cause faults or hazardous
situations.
- Strictly observe the connections specified in this
manual; if in doubt, do not proceed; refer to the rela-
tive technical datasheets available on the site

- Provide a disconnection device in the power supply net-
work of the product which ensures disconnection from
the mains, with a distance of aperture of the contacts
that allows complete disconnection in category III over-
load conditions, in compliance with rules of installation.
4.2 - Initial start-up and system check
On completion of connections, power up the tubular
motor and at the same time check whether the motor
completes 2 brief movements (= automation con-
nected correctly). Note – the direction of motor rota-
tion is not important.

PROGRAMMING
5.1 - In general
- Strictly observe the time limits specified in the proce-
dures.
- Positions 0, 1, H of the shutter, specified in the text,
correspond to those illustrated in fig. 7.
5.2 - Using a transmitter for programming
- Before programming, disconnect all receivers not to
be programmed from the power supply.
- If the transmitter has the option of controlling single
automation groups, during programming, before sen -
ding a command, select the group to which the rela-
tive automation belongs.
