Memorising the FIRST TRANSMITTER
6.4 - Memorising the "FIRST transmitter"
Caution! – Do NOT perform this procedure if other transmitters have already
been memorised on For-Max (see paragraph 6.3).
01. Power up For-Max: the motor completes 2 LONG
motions (= no transmitter memorised).
(5"...)
2
on
02. (Within the next 5 seconds) Press and hold the
(3")
transmitter key ■ for approx. 3 seconds and re -
3
lease as soon as the motor has completed the first
of the 3 LONG motions (= memorisation com-
plete).
Nota – This procedure memorises a transmitter in "Mode I" For further information
on "Mode I" read the introduction in paragraph 6.5.
At the end of programming, the up and down directions of the motor are still not
associated with keys ▲ and ▼ of the transmitter. This association is automatic dur-
ing programming of limit switches "0" and "1" (read chapter 7).
Memorising the OTHER TRANSMITTERS
Caution! – To perform the procedure in this chapter a second transmitter
(already memorised) is required.
6.5 - Memorisation in "MODE I"
The single execution of this procedure enables the simultaneous memorisation in
For-Max of all keys on the transmitter (*).
At the end of the procedure, each transmitter key is associated with a specific com-
mand from those available on For-Max, according to the following default order:
key ▲ (or 1) = Up command
key ■ (or 2) = Stop command
key ▼ (or 3) = Down command
key 4 (if present) = Stop command
(*) Note – If the transmitter has the keys divided into groups, each with its own spe-
cific code, such as models ON9, WM009C etc., the procedure in "Mode I" only
memorises the keys belonging to a single group. To memorise another group repeat
the same procedure.
The procedure memorises the NEW transmitter in "Mode I", regardless of the Mode
in which the OLD transmitter is memorised.
01. Press and hold ■ of the NEW transmitter, for at
least 8 seconds. Then release the key (Note – In
(New)
(8"...)
this case the motor does not perform any move-
ment).
02. Press any key of an OLD transmitter (memorised!)
3 times.
(Old)
03. Press the key ■ of the NEW transmitter once.
(New)
04. The motor then completes 3 LONG motions (=
memorisation complete).
3
Note – If the motor performs 6 LONG motions
means that the memory is full.
6.6 - Memorisation in "MODE II"
The single execution of this procedure enables the memorisation in For-Max of only one
key on the transmitter. Therefore, to memorise another key repeat the same procedure.
The procedure memorises the NEW transmitter in "Mode II", regardless of the Mode
in which the OLD transmitter is memorised.
01. Select the key to be memorised on the NEW trans-
mitter (for example: ▼) and press and hold for at
(New)
(8"...)
least 8 seconds. Then release the key (Note – In
this case the motor does not perform any move-
ment).
02. (Within the next 5 seconds) On the OLD transmit-
(5")
ter press and hold any key (memorised) for approx.
(Old)
2
5 seconds until the motor has completed 2 SHO -
RT motions and then release.
