Sensor Integration
In automation technology the feedback of sensors with the control is essential in order to
identify the current state of the installation and thus introduce the subsequent steps in the
program. Experience shows that the number of inputs (sensors) is greater than the num-
ber of outputs. In pneumatics cylinders switches or pressure switches are most frequently
found as sensors. The system of the sensor integration is shown in the following figure.

The sensors are connected to the valve unit by means of M 12x1plug (Contact Bridge) or
by means of 8mm round plug with snap in connection (I/O Module).
