Mounting the sensor on 4-wheel drive tractors
Particularly in the case of four-wheel drive tractors there may be a problem mounting the wheel ring and the sensor.
A simple solution is to mount the sensor at the drive shaft of one of the front wheels, or at the central drive shaft
underneath the tractor:
- Weld two lengths of the mounting strip (9) on two opposite flange bolt heads of the drive shaft.
- Use a hose clamp to mount the sensor on the bearing house (10) and check that the sensor records two pulses at
every shaft revolution. Watch the lamp at the back of the sensor.
