DESCRIPTION OF THE SYSTEM

The ED 825 is the electronic measuring, metering, and control system for the Vicon fertiliser spreaders. It is
composed of a control box in the tractor, a machine casing, two actuators and a disc rpm counter on the spreader
and an optional wheel sensor or radar to measure the forward speed. The machine casing is connected with the
two actuators, with a battery socket and via a communication cable with the control box. The control box is also
connected with a battery socket and with the wheel sensor or radar.
NOTE: You do not have to worry about exchanging the two plugs inserted at the back of the control box. It is
not possible to connect them incorrectly.
On the basis of the preset application rate in kg/ha, the working width, and the measured forward speed, the ED
825 determines the correct output quantity. That enables highly accurate control of the application rate in kg/ha and
the quantity spread will be very constant, also lengthwise.
