To realise a correct fertiliser application, the spreader must be calibrated for the fertiliser flow. That is determined
by the granule shape and size, the specific gravity, air humidity and fertiliser humidity.
So never use old calibration values!
The calibration test must be carried out at two fixed actuator positions:
- REGULAR METERING : position 36-0 and position 72-0.
- FINE METERING
After carrying out the calibration test for these positions, the ED 825 can spread accurately at all positions.
Method
- Remove the vanes from the right-hand spreading disc.
- Place the calibration container over the right-hand spreading disc and switch off the left-hand spreading disc as
described in the spreader manual.
- Fill the spreader hopper at least halfway with fertiliser, typical of the batch to be spread.
- Place a receptacle of known weight under the discharge opening of the calibration container.
NOTE: The granule size distribution can be different for every new fertiliser batch. Because the granule size
influences the flow rate, entering an old value carries a certain risk.
NOTE: When the hopper has just been filled, the fertiliser flow is not yet the same as during work. For an
accurate result we recommend to "flush" the spreader for ±10 sec. with the function "empty hopper" before
carrying out the calibration test. Switch off the left-hand actuator first!

- Press and you will see the most recently entered calibration value or the default setting (15 kg).
- Start the tractor and set the pto to the correct rpm. Refer to the spreader manual and the spreading table.
- Then press . The selected metering plate will be opened. The display shows the remaining time in seconds.
The metering plate closes automatically when the test has been completed
- If you press during the calibration test, the metering plate will close directly. The old value will be
maintained.
- After the calibration test, switch off the pto and determine the weight of the collected fertiliser. Allow for the
weight of the receptacle.
- Enter this weight on the control box using
