3.1

Entering operating data

Before you start spreading, you have to check if the correct operating values have been entered. The following
values must have been entered here:
1. fertiliser application rate (kg/ha);
2. working width (m);
3 metering setting (regular or fine metering);
4. calibration test (kg);
5. number of wheel pulses per unit of distance covered;
6. increment size over/underapplication;
7. whether or not one of the actuators has been switched off.

3.1.1 Entering the fertiliser application rate (kg/ha)

3.1.3 Adjusting the metering setting

At low application rates the opening of each of the three metering holes is very small. Metering with one hole per
disc results in a larger opening and a more accurate control range at low application rates. This fine metering can
be set with levers at the back-side of the both spreading discs (see picture).
Make your choice.
- Go to the relevant (working width) page of your spreading table and select a forward speed at which you are
going to spread.
- Read from the third column from the left the output (kg/min.) for the selected application rate.
- If the value is HIGHER than 70 kg/min., do not use fine metering.
Put the levers at the back-side of both metering discs to three metering openings (1).
- If the value is LOWER than 70 kg/min., then do use fine metering.
Put the levers at the back-side of both metering discs to one metering opening (2).
