Conductivity measurement
Theory
Almost all electrolytic solutions are very heavily
dependent on temperature. This is due to the ionic
nature. The mobility in liquids increases with a rise
in temperature, i.e. the movement of the charged
ions accelerates and the electrolytic conductivity
measured is thus higher. At a reference
temperature of T=+25 °C, the conductivity
increases by approx. 2% per degree celsius. In
measuring technology, this alteration is usually
described as a temperature coefficient with the unit
%/°C.
