Metering rates
The reproducible metering precision is about +/- 3 % at a minimum 30 % stroke distance
and under constant conditions.
Due to the characteristics of the pump, higher output can be produced until the operating
temperature is reached.
Precise metering can be achieved by taking the following points into consideration:
All metering capacity informations relates to measurements using water at 20°C, with
n
a constant power supply and warmed-up pump.
n
In order to obtain a high degree of metering precision with free flow, a pressure
maintenance valve (or metering valve) should be used, in order to produce a constant
counterpressure of at least 0,05 MPa (0,5 bar).
n
If there is pre-pressure 0,1 MPa (1 bar) on the suction side, the pressure difference
between the suction and the pressure sides must be at least 1 bar. The water column
on the metering pump must be protected by an appropriate valve arrangement.
A pressure control valve or a metering value is not an absolutely hermetically
sealing shutoff device.
CAUTION!
Metering stroke adjustment may only be performed with the pump running if
the stroke adjusting screw is released.
