Personnel:
DANGER!
– Only approved personnel who are familiar with the dosing system may
carry out the initial commissioning.
– The initial commissioning must be logged and the settings made must be
entered in the log.
– Before initial commissioning, check the correct structure of your installation
(
the stability and firm fit of the superstructure.
– Check the tightness of the entire dosing system to prevent the escape of
chemicals and the associated risks for personnel and the environment.

On startup, vent the system as described in
Ä Chapter 6.3 'Venting the metering pump' on page 39.
After 24 hours of operation, the metering head screws should be diagonally
tightened to 6-7 Nm.
CAUTION!
If the metering line can be blocked off, an overflow valve (safety valve) which
opens at the maximum allowed pressure should be installed on the pressure
side for safeguarding the metering line and pump. This can stop the metering
line bursting if wrongly operated.
The pressure can rise to 3-times the nominal pressure.

Switch pump on and off

DANGER!
Danger of the pump starting automatically.
The pump is controlled via the power supply.
The automatic start of the pump is started as soon as the power supply is
connected, without having to press a switch/button beforehand.
For safe handling of the pump, a safety switch must be connected on site
or connected via the emergency stop function of the higher-level control
unit.
