and pull pipe and grip out from each other or
push together.
Adjusting the cutting angle (3)

With changed cutting angle (0°, 25° and 50°) you
can also trim in inaccessible locations, e.g. under
banks and overhangs
•

Notes on cutting:
A short or worn line cuts badly. Therefore,
in the case of reduced cutting perform-

shows sufficient line. Pull power plug when
doing this! The replacement of the spool is
described in the Chapter "Replacement of
the cutting equipment".
•
Before starting the device, make sure that the
cutter head does not come in contact with
stones, gravel or other foreign bodies.
•
Turn on the device before you approach to the
grass to be cut.
•
Cut the grass using an action where you
swing the device to the right and to the
left. Cut slowly and, during the cutting,
hold the device at approx. 30° in front.
•
Cut long grass in layers, starting from above
and working down.
•
Do not cut any moist or wet grass.
•
Avoid the overstrain of the device during work.
•
Avoid contact with solid obstacles (stones,
brick, paling etc.). The line will wear itself away
rapidly through that. Employ the edge of the
protective cover in order to hold the device at
the correct separation distance.
•
Avoid swinging over the extension cord with
the device still running. You could damage it.
You should always play out the extension cord
behind yourself.
Maintenance and
Cleaning
Pull the power plug before carrying out any
work on the device.
Have all work, which is not indicated in
these directions, carried out only by
service stations authorized by us. Em-
ploy only original parts and note the
line cutter carefully during installation.
Danger of injury!
Replacement of the cutting equipment
Never manipulate the cutting equip-
ment, where you employ worn-out origi-
nal parts or OEM parts. Employ exclu-
sively original spare parts. Never
employ metallic lines. The use of such
non-original parts can cause injuries to
persons and irreparable damage to the
device and leads immediately to voiding
of the guarantee.
Wear work gloves during the replacement
of the cutting equipment, in order to avoid
cut injuries.
Replacing cutting blade:
1. Pull the power plug.
2. Turn round the device so that the cutter
head is facing above..
3. The rotor is not screwed on and is easy
to remove. Push both catches on the
side of the cutting head at the same
time, and remove the rotor.
4. Place the new rotor onto the cutting
head. Make sure that the catches fit
exactly into the notches on the cutting
head. They should then audibly click into
place.
Replacing line spool:
