3 Application

3.1 Indications for use

In the covered areas, the guard protects the housing of the knee joint against external influences
such as scratching and surface contamination.
3.2 Area of Application
The product is intended exclusively for C-Leg users.

3.3 Conditions of use

The product was developed for everyday use and must not be used for unusual activities such as
extreme sports (free climbing, paragliding, etc.).

4.2 Structure of the safety instructions

Falling due to unexpected prosthesis behaviour or malfunction.
► Should moisture have penetrated the prosthesis, remove the product from the prosthesis
and allow both to dry. Observe the safety information in the 646D790, 646D790=1 C-Leg

instructions for use.

► If water gets into the electronics of the knee joint, the prosthesis must be inspected by an
authorised Ottobock Service Centre.
