formed on other smoke alarm devices.
Verschmutzt (Contaminated)
If the message "Verschmutzt" (Contaminated)
appears, this indicates a contamination of the
tested smoke alarm device.
This is an indication to the user, that the
smoke alarm device may not survive the
next maintenance cycle without the smoke
alarm emit a (further) pollution alarm.
If no "Vers.-Alarm" (contamination alarm)
is displayed in the event data memor y
of the smoke detector being tested, or if
the smoke detector has not yet given any
warning tones in the meantime that suggest
contamination, the further use of the smoke
detector is left to the discretion of the user.
If the message "Verschmutzt" (Contaminated)
is displayed in connection with at least one
"Vers-Alarm" (contamination alarm), the
smoke alarm device can not be used any
further and must be replaced.

5 Under the status, you will see the serial
number of the smoke alarm device, the
chamber value (see chapter 5.4 "Kammer-
wert (Chamber value)" on page 38)
and the type of the smoke alarm device.
The message "Verschmutzt" (Contam-
inated) only appears on smoke alarm
devices where the chamber value was
adjusted by 10 digits (figures) and / or
the smoke alarm device has generated
at least one contamination alarm.
(1) Call up the readout protocol with
"Weiter" (Continue) by pressing
the Start button.
5 The events recorded by the smoke
alarm device (see chapter 5.5
"Events" on page 39) and their
numbers are displayed.
