T auto mode

In T auto mode, the vacuum is controlled via the temperature sensor T auto
(accessory).
This has the following advantages:
- Only small amounts of the solvent are drawn off by the vacuum pump.
- The boiling point can be found automatically and corrected as required
for mixtures.
- Mixture distillation can be performed without manual adjustment.
- No knowledge of thermodynamic material data is required.
Temperature sensor T auto (accessory) is installed (see chapter 4.7.1,
page 102).
Cooling medium flowing for 15 minutes.
1. Press Mode (Fig. 6-1 (12)) until Mode t auto LED is lit.
2. Press Select (Fig. 6-1 (6)) until Act Vap LED is lit.
3. Read off the Act-Vap initial temperature.
4. Press Select (Fig. 6-1 (6)) until Set Vap LED is lit.
The set setpoint temperature has to lie 2–15 K above the Act-Vap initial
temperature.
Values for Set Vap only slightly higher than the constant temperature (2–15 K)
result in distillation with optimal recovery rates. Lower values lead to slower
distillation, higher rates to faster.
5. Use the arrow buttons (Fig. 6-1 (9)) to set the required temperature.
The setpoint temperature is visible on the display (Fig. 6-1 (8)).
After five seconds, Endp appears in the display (Fig. 6-1 (14)).
If distillation is not to be aborted after a certain pressure is reached, enter the
value 1 for Endp.
6. Use the arrow buttons (Fig. 6-1 (9)) to set the desired final pressure at
which distillation is to be aborted.
The selected final pressure is visible on the display (Fig. 6-1 (8)).
