71. Position the stabilizer back on the fuselage and check its
alignment. Use clamps to hold the stabilizer in position.
Allow the epoxy to fully cure before proceeding.
72. Use a paper towel and isopropyl alcohol to remove any
excess epoxy from the fuselage and stabilizer before the
epoxy fully cures. Allow the epoxy to fully cure before
proceeding.
 Check the position of the stabilizer repeatedly during
the curing process to make sure it has not moved.
 FIN INSTALLATION
73. Fit the fi n to the fuselage. Use a felt-tipped pen to trace
the outline of the fi n on the fuselage and stabilizer. Also
trace the outline of the fuselage on the fi n.
74. Use a ruler and carefully cut the covering 1/8 inch (3
mm) inside the line drawn on the fi n. Use care not to cut
into the underlying wood.

76. Mix 1/2 ounce (15ml) of 30-minute epoxy. Use an epoxy
brush to apply epoxy to the exposed wood on the bottom
of the fi n and to the fuselage. Fit the fi n into position,
using a square to align the fi n to the stabilizer.
77. Use a paper towel and isopropyl alcohol to remove any
excess epoxy from the fi n and fuselage. Allow the epoxy
to fully cure before proceeding.
 Check the position of the fin repeatedly during
the curing process to make sure it has not moved.
 RUDDER INSTALLATION
78. Use medium grit sandpaper to lightly sand the tail wheel
wire where it contacts the rudder. Use a paper towel and
isopropyl alcohol to remove any oils or debris from the
wire.
79. Slide the tail wheel bracket onto the wire.
80. Use a fl at fi le to make a fl at area on the tail gear wire for
the tail wheel collar setscrew.
