4.3. Checking the motor's direction of rotation

• Press the Up button:
a) If the E.V.B. raises, the direction of rotation is correct:
go to the section entitled «Setting the end limits».
b) If the E.V.B. lowers, the direction of rotation is incorrect:
press the «my» button until the E.V.B. moves; the direction
of rotation has been modified.
• Press the Up button to check the direction of rotation.
4.4. Choice of kinematics (Normal or with working position)
This choice is only possible :
- After setting the direction of rotation (if required)
- Before any other adjustment or programming
If you have already paired the actuator, then you must reset
the actuator (Section 8.3) then repeat the setting procedure.
The J4 RTS actuator is factory set to operate with a blind with normal kinematics. However, the user can
choose between blind operation modes, either with normal kinematics or kinematics with working position.
• Press the Up and «my» buttons to switch between operating modes.
If the motor switches from normal kinematics mode to kinematics with
working position mode, the blind moves briefly at slow speed.
If the motor switches from kinematics with working position mode to
normal kinematics mode, the blind moves briefly at normal speed.
Normal kinematics: When the blind is lowered, the slats are closed.
Working position kinematics : When the blind is lowered, the slats are tilted to a specific angle
until the operating position. This angle is obtained either by a specific blind mechanism or by
tilters.

4.5. Setting the end limits

Check that your J4 RTS actuator has been assembled in the blind in the lowered position with
the slats closed.
4.5.1. End limit (automatic adjustment)
• Briefly press the PROG button on the pre-programmed
control: the E.V.B. moves briefly, the control point is
programmed.
• The upper end limit is set by pressing the «mushroom».
• Go to the section entitled «Operation».
When using a blind with kinematics with w position (raising, lowering and slat direction movements
via a mechanism hidden inside the runners), it is essential to check that the apron's top runner acti-
vates the mushroom to prevent damage to the blind.
Otherwise, set the upper end limit position below the mushroom or use mushroom extensions.
