COOL mode (cooling)
In COOL mode the air conditioner removes heat from
the room via the Internal Unit, transferring it to the
outside via the External Unit.
HEAT mode (heating)
In HEAT mode the air conditioner removes heat from
the outside via the External Unit, transferring it to the
iinside via the Internal Unit. When the external
temperature drops, the heat removed by the External
Unit drops as a consequence, so that it may
eventually be advisable to resort to alternative heat
sources.

FAN mode

When the internal temperature reaches the set value,
the compressor stops and the air conditioner
automatically starts to operate in fan mode.
The compressor will start up again spontaneously
when the temperature rises (COOL mode) or drops
(HEAT mode) with respect to the chosen limit.

TIMER mode
When the TIMER function is set using the remote
control, it is possible to program delayed start-up and
shut-down in the required operating mode.
N.B.
In the presence of low temperatures and high relative
humidity values, frost may form on the External Unit
heat exchanger when operating in heating mode
(HEAT), and this may cause a reduction in efficiency
of the unit. To avoid this phenomenon, the unit will
automatically start the defrosting process, during
which the Internal and External Unit fans will stop
turning and transmission of heat to the room will
cease.
The DEFROST indicator will light up to show that the
defrosting process has started.
The duration of the defrosting process may vary from
4 to 10 minutes, according to the outside temperature
and the amount of ice that has formed in the
meantime.
