• This unit has been manufactured in a workmanlike
style.
• To ensure a long service life and overall electrical
and mechanical reliability, it must be properly used
and subjected to regular maintenance.
• Do not use this appliance for functions other than
those described in this booklet.
• After removing the appliance from its packaging,
ensure that it is intact: if in doubt, consult a Vortice
certified technical support center*. Do not leave
packaging within the reach of children or differently
able persons.
• Certain fundamental rules must be observed when
using any electrical appliance:
• never touch appliances with wet or damp hands;
• never touch appliances while barefoot;
• do not allow the unit to be operated by children or
differently able persons.
• Do not us the appliance where inflammable
substances and vapours (alcohol, insecticides,
petrol, etc.).
• If you decide to stop using the unit, switch it off and
disconnect it from the mains. Do not store the unit
within the reach of children or differently able
persons.
• Do not sit or place any object on the unit.
• Do not insert fingers or other objects in the suction
or delivery grilles of the Internal and External Units.
• Do not dismantle or make modifications of any kind
to the units.
• Do not spill or spray water onto the units.
• Should the unit become damaged or malfunction,
switch it off, disconnect the plug from the electric
socket, and contact Vortice certified technical
support center* to have it repaired. Ensure that only
genuine original Vortice spares are used for any
repairs.
• The mains power supply to which the units are
connected must comply with current laws.
• Installation and wiring operations should be
performed in accordance with the laws and
regulations applicable in the country where the
appliance is used.
• Specifications for the power supply must
correspond to those indicated on the rating plate.
• The appliance must be connected to an efficient
earthing system in accordance with applicable
electrical safety standards. If in doubt, ask a
qualified electrician to check your system.
• Check that the electrical power supply/socket
provides the maximum electrical power required by
the appliance.
• If the power socket is damaged or of a different type
*(or an authorised Service Centre if you are outside the UK-Ireland territory)

to the plug fitted on the appliance, ask a qualified
technician to replace the plug with one of the right
type. Avoid using adapters, multiple plugs and/or
extensions. If necessary, only use models that are
fully compliant with current safety standards.
• Do not pull on the power cable, do not place it near
heat sources, and always uncoil it completely to
prevent dangerous overheating.
If the cable or the power plug are damaged, take
the appliance to an authorised Vortice service
centre* for replacement.
• When removing the product from its wrappings and
during installation, take care to avoid any risk of
injury on sharp edges.
• Do not use this unit for special purposes, for
example to store food, animals, plants and other
objects requiring specific climatic conditions.
• Do not touch metal parts of the unit when it is not
fitted with filters.
• Do not drink the water produced during the
condensation process.
• If the air conditioning system is used together with a
heater, make sure the room is sufficiently ventilated
so as to guarantee proper oxygen levels.
• Never turn the unit off by pulling out the plug.
• Connect the air conditioning system to a dedicated
power supply line, served by a thermomagnetic
switch with a capacity suited to the unit's power
absorption levels.
• Any attempt to carry out maintenance operations
involving opening the unit may be dangerous, due
to the presence of live components and pressurised
gas within the refrigerator circuit. Always contact
Vortice.
• Prolonged, direct exposure of persons, animals or
plants to the flow of air emitted by the air
conditioning system internal unit may be harmful for
their health and/or preservation.
