Field of application according to the Ottobock MOBIS® Mobility System:
Recommended for Mobility Grades 2 and 3
(restricted outdoor walkers and unrestricted outdoor walkers).
A therapy mode enlarges the field of application and allows targeted use of the C-Leg compact in
rehabilitation.
Approved for a patient weight of up to 125 kg / 275 lbs.
Exception: 2R80=110 Tube Adapter is approved for a patient weight of up to 100 kg / 220 lbs.

The C-Leg compact was developed for everyday activities and not for extreme sports such as free climbing, parachut-
ing or paragliding. For the necessary environmental conditions, please see Section 3.3 "Technical Information".
The C-Leg compact knee joint is designed exclusively for use on one patient. Use of the product by other persons is
not approved by the manufacturer.

2.4 Functionality

The 3C96-1/3C86-1 C-Leg compact is a monocentric knee joint with microprocessor-controlled stance phase and
hydraulically controlled swing phase.
Strain gauges in the tube adapter measure the anterior and posterior flexion moment, while a knee angle sensor meas-
ures the flexion angle and angular speed of the knee joint. These measured variables are transmitted to the micropro-
cessor, which then calculates the necessary movement resistances for the stance phase. Servomotors open and close
hydraulic valves to provide the required damping during the stance and swing phases. This allows the C-Leg compact
to adapt to the individual requirements and the activities of the prosthesis wearer. Different modes also allow, in addi-
tion to everyday use, for use in connection with early mobilisation following an amputation.

2.5 Qualification of the prosthetist

The fitting of a patient with a C-Leg compact may only be carried out by prosthetists who have been authorized with
the corresponding Ottobock training.

2.6 Triton combination possibilities

The combination of the prosthetic foot Triton 1C60 / Triton Vertical Shock 1C61/ Triton Harmony 1C62/ Triton Low
Profile 1C63/Triton Heavy Duty 1C64 with C-Leg compact 3C96-1/ 3C86-1 is only allowed in the following ranges
(see chart below).
For the combination of the Triton prosthetic feet with or C-Leg compact 3C96-1/ 3C86-1 outside of the approved
ranges please contact Ottobock Customer Service.
