Spoke protectors
The spoke protectors are already factory-mounted It
is not possible to perform any readjustments If it is
necessary to perform repairs to the spoke protectors,
please contact your medical supplies dealer
Quickrelease axles for front wheels
To remove the front wheels, proceed as follows:
Remove the seat shell (if this option is given)
Fold the SIMPLY LIGHT undercarriage (if this op-
tion is given), but without activating the parking
brake
Lift the SIMPLY LIGHT slightly at the front so that
the front wheel no longer touches the floor
Press on the rubber cover of the guide tube with
your thumb This activates the locking button lo-
cated under the cover
Keep the button pressed down and pull the front
wheel off with your free hand
Repeat this procedure on the other side
Repeat these steps in reverse order to assemble
the front wheels (eg after transport) The wheels
must engage audibly
Locking of the front wheels
Release the lock of the front wheels by pulling the snap
lock out of the groove and turning through 90° To reac-
tivate the lock of the front wheels, turn the snap locks
back into their initial position until they engage The
front wheels are then locked and the wheelchair can
only be moved straight ahead
Knee lever brake (air brake)
Knee lever brakes are used in addition to parking
brakes (drum brakes) These are factory-mounted
and adjusted with your order If the braking action is
diminished by changes in distance (between wheel and
the knee-lever brake), you can readjust this by shifting
the sliding nuts on the C-rail

ASSEMBLY / ADJUSTMENT / OPERATION
Antitipping wheels
The rear end of the frame is equipped with two anti-
tipping wheels
Important!
In normal driving position, the anti-
tipping wheels must always point in the
direction of the driving surface!
It may be necessary to swivel the anti-tipping wheels
upwards when negotiating high curbs and for transport
(reduces the size of the wheelchair for transport) To
do so, proceed as follows:
Activate the parking brakes
Position yourself behind the SIMPLY or SIMPLY
LIGHT undercarriage
Pull on one of the anti-tipping brackets first and
slide it partly out of the adapter bracket groove
Then move the anti-tipping bracket upwards until it
engages in the upper mounting groove
Now allow the anti-tipping bracket to slide back
into the groove of the adapter bracket unit Repeat
the same steps with the second anti-tipping wheel
Release the parking brake
Follow the same procedure for returning into the
original position
Note!
Always check to ensure that the two
anti-tipping wheels are always facing in
the same direction This is the only way to ensure
effective protection against tipping!
