- Set the slider (5) to position „Ampere". Select the matching voltage for your accu-
mulator on the rotary switch (10).
- The charging current should not exceed the value of 0.4 of the accumulator capa-
city.
- Example:
- 2400 mAh * 0.4 = 960 mAh
- 5000 mAh * 0.4 = 2000 mAh
- Select the respective charge current.
- With quick-charge accumulators, the charging current may not exceed the accu-
mulator capacity (e.g. accumulator 3000 mAh --> charging current 3A). When in
doubt, always select a lower charge current.
- The quick charge process can be interrupted at any time by pressing the button
„MODE" (9).
- The fast blinking of the red indicator signals the imminent end of the charging pro-
cess.
- Once the accumulator is fully charged, the multi-charger automatically switches to
„trickle charge" mode. The green indicator blinks and a signal tone sounds each
minute.
- Remove the accumulator from the charger and unplug the charger.
After a quick charge, the accumulator and the charger may be hot.
Leave them to cool down before using them further.
Never perform two quick charges with the same accumulator in
sequence. The accumulator may overheat and become destroyed.

Accumulator maintenance programs

Various maintenance programs are integrated in the charger to refresh spent accu-
mulators.
Even after a brief time, Ni-CD accumulators show a so-called memory effect when
the accumulators were not completely discharged prior to charging. This effect
results in a rapidly advancing capacity loss.
