7. Information on Batteries and Storage Batteries
Despite the fact that handling batteries and rechargeable batteries in daily life nowadays is a matter of fact, there are still numerous dangers and problems
involved. In particular with LiPo/LiIon rechargeable batteries with their high energy content (in comparison with conventional NiCd or NiMH rechargeable
batteries) various regulations must be imperatively observed as otherwise there is danger of explosion and fire.
Thus, imperatively observe the following information and safety measures when handling batteries and rechargeable batteries.
• Batteries must be kept out of the reach of children.
• Do not let batteries/ storage batteries lie around openly. There is a risk of batteries being swallowed by children or pets. In such case, seek instant medical
attention!
• Batteries/ storage batteries must never be short-circuited, disassemble or thrown into an open flame. Explosion hazard!
• Leaking or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries may cause acid burns when coming into contact with skin, therefore use suitable protective gloves.
• Do not recharge normal batteries. Fire and explosion hazard! Only charge rechargeable batteries which are intended for this purpose; use suitable rechargeable
battery chargers. Batteries (1.5 V) are meant to be used once only and must be disposed of when empty.
• When inserting batteries/ storage batteries or when connecting a battery pack or a charger, observe the correct polarity (note plus/+ and minus/-). Wrong
polarity may damage the transmitter, the airplane and the storage batteries. Fire and explosion hazard!
• Always exchange the entire set of batteries or rechargeable batteries. Do not mix full batteries/ storage batteries with half-full batteries Always use batteries or
storage batteries of the same type and manufacturer.
• Never use batteries and storage batteries at the same time! Either use batteries or storage batteries for the remote control transmitter.
• If the device is not used for a longer period of time (e.g. storage), remove the inserted batteries (or storage batteries) from the remote control to avoid damage
from leaking batteries/storage batteries.
Warning!
Disconnect the flight storage battery from the model when finished flying. Do not keep the flight storage battery conneted when not using the model
(e.g. during transport or storage). Otherwise, the flight accumulator may become fully discharged and destroyed/unusable!
• Recharge the NiCd or NiMH batteries approximately every 3 months, as otherwise they may be fully discharge due to a deep discharge, which will render the
storage batteries useless.
• Never charge the enclosed storage flight battery immediately after use. Always leave the flight accumulator to cool down until it has reached room or ambient
temperature again.
• Charge intact and undamaged batteries only. If the external insulation of the storage battery is damaged or if the storage battery is warped or bloated, it must
not be charged. This would cause a serious fire and explosion hazard!
• Never damage the envelop of the flight accumulator, do not tear the foil cover, do not prick into the storage battery using sharp objects. Fire and explosion
hazard!
• Remove the flight accumulator that is to be charged from the model and place it on a fire-proof support. Observe a distance to flammable objects.
• Please ensure adequate ventilation as the charger and storage flight battery heat up during the charging process. Never cover the chargers and storage
batteries when charging.
• Never charge storage batteries unattended.
• Disconnect the storage flight battery from the charger when the battery is fully charged.
• The charger and the storage battery must not get damp or wet. There is danger to life through an electric shock; furthermore, there is danger of fire and
explosion from the storage battery.

m) Montage du moteur électrique
Si vous utilisez le moteur recommandé, n° de référence: 23 39 99, vissez
d´abord le support moteur en croix (1) puis montez sur la partie avant le
doigt d'entraînement de l'hélice (2).
Si vous employez d´autres moteurs électriques, vous trouverez des
explications précises dans les documents du moteur.
Centrez ensuite le moteur centré sur la plaque avant (3) du dôme moteur
et tracez les trous pour les vis de fixation. Percez au préalable les trous
pour les vis de fixation avec une mèche appropriée.
Selon le modèle de moteur, il peut s´avérer nécessaire de décaler le
moteur vers l´avant à l´aide des écarteurs en tube plastique (4)
Notre conseil :
Les écarteurs entre les platines des accessoires électroniques se sont
révélés être des éléments idéaux pour monter le moteur.
L´écart entre la plaque avant et l´embase de l´hélice doit être d´exactement
57 mm (voir schéma).
n) Montage des composants de la radiocommande
Pour pouvoir régler la position requise du centre de gravité sans ajouter
inutilement trop de poids, il est indispensable de placer le régulateur de
vol (1), l´accu d´entraînement (2) et le récepteur (3) le plus loin possible
vers l´avant.
Notre conseil :
Le régulateur se fixe sur le dôme moteur avec des serre-câbles. L´accu
de propulsion et le récepteur sont fixées de préférence avec des bandes
autoagrippantes.
