13. Troubleshooting

With this mixing desk, you have purchased a product that reflects the latest state of technology and is safe to operate.
Still there might be problems or malfunctions. Therefore, we want to give you some pointers.
Observe all safety notices in this operating manual
No sound
• Are the external connected appliances turned on and is the desired signal available (start the CD player, for
example)?
• Is the mixing desk connected with the mains voltage and turned on (power LED underneath the on/off switch must
be lit)?
• Are the cable connections right?
• Did you select the corresponding input?
• Is the gain controller maybe set back to „0"?
• Is the slider for the volume adjustment of the respective channel adjusted correctly?
• Is the „MASTER" controller maybe set back to „0"?
• Are the external amplifiers turned on and their volume controllers respectively input switches adjusted correctly?
• If you use headphones, is the volume controller for the headphone connection adjusted correctly?
• Are the settings of the cross fader correct respectively those of the two control dials „ASSIGN CH" (assignment
of the channels to the cross fader)?
Oversteered audio signal
• Adjust the GAIN controllers correctly.
• Check the sound controllers.
• Check the external appliance and reduce their output level, if applicable.
• The cinch inputs of the mixing table are only suited for audio signals with line level.
Humming loops, net humming
• The connection of the different audio appliances may easily lead to humming sounds. Connect the ground
connections of the casing (e.g. ground screw on the back of the mixing desk).
• Check the cabling. Is one of the cables defect?
• Try another wall outlet.
