3. Instalation
3.5 Non-return valve
The non-return valves in the station prevent uncontrolled circulation of the
heat carrier fluid in the event of stoppage of the system, and therefore
counteract the cooling of the accumulator. These are installed in the feed
and return lines. It can be opened manually by moving the handle (ball valve)
from the end position approx. 45° clockwise (see Section 3.1.). This must be
noted and used in particular when draining the system.
Opening pressure: approx. 500 mm water column.
The correct flow direction must be observed at all times (see Section 3.2).
3.6 Connection of an expansion vessel (on site)
Expansion vessels take up the volume changes during the heating
and cooling of the heat carrier fluid, and also provide a fluid reserve
to compensate for any minor leakage.
Only suitable and appropriately designed expansion
vessels must be used (see DIN 4807). In case of
corresponding prevailing temperatures, a preliminary
vessel may need to be installed
3.7 Heat carrier medium
Use only suitable and approved solar fluid containing anti-freeze agent (DIN 4757) suitable for solar systems! Note the manu-
facturer and type, since these may not be able to be mixed with fluids from other manufacturers.
