3.3 Thermometer replacement
The thermometers are only inserted and can be removed.
It should be ensured that when a thermometer is removed, it
is replaced by an identical thermometer. Please observe the
color label.
(Red lettering = SP (supply); blue lettering = RT (return))
3.4 Safety valve or safety module
The station is equipped with a safety valve. The operating pressure
can be controlled at the pressure gauge.
Safety valves:
¾" x 1"
Primary activation pressure: 87 psi (6 bar)
The supplied safety module must be permanently installed
at the intended position of the solar station.
3.5 Backflow preventer
When the system is shut down, the bacWhen the system is shut down,
the backflow preventers in the station prevent the uncontrolled
circulation of the heat transfer medium thus counteract the cooling of
the storage tank. They are located in the supply and the return. They
can be opened manually (cf. Section 3.1) by adjusting the handle (ball
valve) by approximately 45° clockwise from the locking position.
Above all, this must be observed and applied when draining the system.
Opening pressure: approximately 19.69 in (500 mm) WC
0° - ball valve open, backflow preventer activated
45° - ball valve open and backflow preventer deactivated
90° - ball valve closed
The flow direction is marked (chamfered side) and is on the spindle
of the ball valve. Make sure to observe the flow direction
(cf. Section 3.2).
