f) Setting the date/time
In order to set the time of the product for the video and audio recording, connect the product
to a computer.
To set the date and time at which fi les are saved, connect the product to a computer.
Proceed as follows:
• Insert the narrow side of the USB connection cable into the mini USB port (5).
• Connect the wide side of the USB connection cable to your computer.
Once the computer has detected the product as a storage medium, you will see this as a drive.
Depending on the operating system, you may have to adapt the settings to your
computer (e.g. assign/enable drive letters). For more information see the Help
function for your operating system. Observe the procedure specifi ed for your
particular operating system when disconnecting the product from the computer.
• Create a text document (.txt.) and call it 'SET_TIME.txt' (upper case).
• Open the fi le and enter time and date values as per the table below.

This setting would give the following date:
Year = 2010 Month = 04 Day = 23 Hour = 10 Minute = 45 Seconds = 00
• Save the fi le ('SET_TIME.txt') on your product and/or the corresponding drive.

g) Muting the product

You can mute the product (no signal tone).
Proceed as follows:
• Press the 'MODE' key (12) for approx. 3 seconds.
• A signal tone will indicate that the product has been muted (signal tones deactivated).
To reactivate the signal tones, press the 'MODE' key (12) again for approx. 3
seconds.
