10. Arming the Alarm System
The radio alarm system has two different arming modes:

• Arm while present

• Arm while absent
10.1 Arm while Present
This type of arming is used when you are at home and walk through rooms including
sensors that would trigger an alarm.
If you set the alarm system to "Arm while present", the programmed sensors of alarm
zones 1, 2 and 3 will trigger alarms immediately (except for any motion detectors).
Example:
Switch the alarm system to "arm while present" when sleeping at night. Doors and
windows are not opened at night. However, it is possible that there are motion
detectors in rooms you walk through at night. When the alarm system is set to "arm
while present", the motion detectors will not trigger any alarm.
To set the alarm system to "arm while present", proceed as follows:
Step 1: Enter the 4-digit password.
Step 2: Press and hold the button "ARM" (4) for 3 seconds. The status LED
"ARMED" (5) lights up to indicate that the alarm system is set to
"armed while present.
Step 3: To disarm the alarm system again, enter the 4-digit password.
