13. Reset Password

If you forgot your password, you can reset it to the factory password (=1234). For
this purpose, proceed as follows:
Step 1: Remove the mains adapter and all batteries.
Step 2: Press and hold the button "LEARN" (10). Do not let go of the button
before reaching step 4.
Step 3: Keep the button pressed and connect the mains adapter. Keep the
button pressed until all 4 "zone status LEDs" (3) light up. Release the
button.
Step 4: The password is reset when all 4 "zone status LEDs" (3) go out.
Observe that complete password reset (in the delivery state) takes
approx. 4 hours.
In this time, no changes must be made to the alarm system and no but-
ton must be pressed. This would interrupt password reset.
Reset takes several seconds to prevent sabotage.

14. External Alarm Generator

External alarm generators can be programmed into the alarm system (e.g. external
outside horn) (available optional). For this purpose, proceed as follows:
Step 1: Put the external alarm device (e.g. external outside horn) into pro-
gramming mode by pressing the button "LEARN" at the outside horn
for approx. 3 seconds until the horn emits a confirmation sound (two
tones). For this, also observe the instructions of the external alarm
device.
Step 2: Press and hold the button "MUTE" (9) for 3 seconds. The alarm sys-
tem confirms programming of the external alarm device with 2 tones.
Step 3: After confirmation by the alarm system, you may release the button
"MUTE"(9).
