12. Backup Batteries

The backup batteries enable operation of up to 48 hours at power outage. The sys-
tem can also be operated without any backup batteries. However, we urgently
recommend the use of backup batteries to minimise the safety risk in case of a
power outage. To verify that the backup batters has sufficient battery voltage, the
alarm system includes a battery monitor.
To check the battery voltage:
Step 1: All batteries must be inserted. The mains adapter also must be con-
nected properly.
Step 2: Remove the mains adapter from the alarm system.
Step 3: Interpret the green "POWER" status LED (6) according to the follo-
wing table:
