After properly inserting the batteries, close the battery / AC cable compartment
again.

The battery charge condition can be seen on the tuning / battery indicator (4). Addi-
tionally, the World Receiver must be switched on and the function selector switch (5)
set to PA / LINE IN. The greater the battery voltage, the further the indicator pointer
moves to the right. To be able to guarantee optimum reception, the indicator pointer
should be in the thick, green area of the battery scale (right).
Observe correct polarity when fitting batteries! Incorrect polarity will
lead inevitably to the destruction of the World Receiver.
Do not leave batteries lying about openly because of the danger that
they will be swallowed by children or pets! In case of swallowing seek
immediate medical assistance.
Never leave an exhausted battery in the battery compartment, becau-
se even "leak-proof" batteries can corrode and thereby release chemi-
cals which can endanger health or destroy the battery compartment!
Leaking or damaged batteries can cause irritation when touched by
the skin, therefore suitable protective gloves should be worn.
Do not attempt to recharge batteries. There is a danger of explosion.
Do not throw batteries into fires. There is a danger of explosion.
Take care not to short-circuit batteries. There is a danger of explosion.
Avoid the use of batteries from different manufacturers in the World
Receiver. Always replace the complete set of batteries.
Environmental information!
It is the statutory duty of the user to return all used batteries (from
disposable batteries to rechargeable and even lead-acid batte-
ries). Disposal together with general waste is not permitted.
Used batteries of any type can be returned free of charge both to
our subsidiaries and to our headquarters in Hirschau, Germany
and, as hitherto, also to communal disposal centres (recycling
centres committed to returns).
Play also your part in protecting the environment!

Fonctionnement comme amplificateur de message
Pour le branchement d'un micro (impédance 600 ohms) à la prise micro 3,5 mm (12),
le récepteur radio universel devra être éteint et le régulateur du volume (8) devra se
trouver sur "MIN". Poussez maintenant le sélecteur des fonctions (5) sur la position
"PA/LINE IN". Après que le récepteur radio universel a de nouveau été allumé, l'in-
tensité sonore et la tonalité pourront être ajustées.
Fonctionnement comme amplificateur LINE
Pour le branchement d'un appareil audio à la prise micro 3,5 mm (12), le récepteur
radio universel devra être éteint et le régulateur du volume (8) devra se trouver sur
"MIN". Poussez maintenant le sélecteur des fonctions (5) sur la position "PA/LINE
IN". Après que le récepteur radio universel a de nouveau été allumé, l'intensité sono-
re et la tonalité pourront être ajustées.
N'utilisez jamais le récepteur radio universel simultanément com-
me amplificateur de message et comme amplificateur LINE. Le
récepteur radio universel pourrait être détruit.
Manipulation et entretien
Le récepteur radio universel est mis à part un remplacement des batteries absolu-
ment sans entretien. De ce fait n'ouvrez jamais l'appareil. Une ouverture entraînera
une perte de la garantie.
Contrôlez régulièrement la sécurité technique de l'appareil et des appareils connec-
tés, par ex, en ce qui concerne des détériorations des câbles de raccordement et
des boîtiers.
Si l'on doit supposer qu'une utilisation sans danger n'est plus possible, il y aura lieu
d'arrêter le travail avec l'appareil et de le mettre à l'abri d'une utilisation involontaire !
L'on supposera qu'une utilisation sans danger n'est plus possible, quand
•
l'appareil refuse de fonctionner
•
l'appareil présente des détériorations apparentes,
•
un stockage sous de conditions défavorables a eu lieu ou
•
des conditions de transports difficiles ne sont pas à exclure.
Ne mettez jamais directement l'appareil en service, lorsque vous passez d'un local
froid à un local chaud. L'eau de condensation qui se forme, pourra sous certaines
conditions détruire le récepteur radio universel. Laissez l'appareil débranché en
attendant qu'il s'adapte à la température ambiante de la pièce.
