16. Connection of External Devices

"LINE OUT" connection
When playing back audio files, this output supplies the analogue audio signal to external devices with
line-in sockets, e.g. a stereo system, an active speaker, etc.
The speaker integrated in the recorder can be deactivated in the setting menu if desired (see chapter
15. f).
"PHONES" connection
Here you can connect, e.g. headphones or earphones. The speaker integrated in the recorder is
deactivated.
"LINE IN" connection
Here, the recorder can record the applied analogue audio signal (line level) if you select the input "Line in"
in the setting menu (chapter 15. d).
The speaker integrated in the recorder is deactivated automatically.
"MIC IN" connection
Here, an external microphone (mono or stereo) can be connected. Select the correct input in the setting
menu (chapter 15. d) ("EXT.MIC mono" or "EXT.MIC stereo").
When connecting an external microphone, the microphones integrated in the recorder are deactivated.

17. Reset Device

If the recorder no longer reacts to any buttons, you may either press the countersunk reset button (19) on
the rear of the casing, or switch off the recorder briefly.
