Setting rear axle alignment:
The track can be set by turning the inner ball-headed
screws (A) and (B) in opposite directions.
The outer grub crews (C) must not be turned since they
only fasten the ball-head screws (A and B) in the axle spur.
For this, observe the description in chapter 11. a).
Setting toe-in:
The ball-headed screw (B) towards the vehicle front is
turned clockwise, the ball-headed screw (A) pointing to
the rear of the vehicle is turned counter-clockwise.
Setting toe-out:
The ball-headed screw (B) which points towards the vehicle front is turned to the left counter-clockwise, the ball-
headed screw (A) pointing to the rear of the vehicle is turned to the right clockwise.
Change the settings only gradually and then check the changed running conduct to see if it corresponds to
your expectations. Write down the changes made so that you can easily reverse them again.
If the ball-headed screws (A) and (B) of the lower cross-link are turned into the same direction (both screws
either clockwise to the left or counter-clockwise to the right), this changes the camber instead of the toe-in/
out!
Do not turn out the respective ball-headed screw too far since the axle stub will no longer stick to the
transverse link otherwise. The suspension may be damaged.
If the respective ball-headed screw is turned in too far, the drive will be too hard-going. This must also be
avoided.
