phone supports offered functions for telephone switch boards (for example, the
waiting field) and various telephone number lists (for example, the telephone
book or call list).
The system telephones are equipped with a touchscreen. They can be config-
ured either using the menu on the telephone display or using the PC-software
included in the package. The required PC is connected either directly to the tele-
phone USB port (only for the COMfortel 2600) or to a PC-port on the PBX.
The system telephones allows you to make calls by using both the connected
receiver and the integrated loud speakers (hands-free calling). Another option
is to connect a headset (not included in the package).
The COMfortel 2600 supports the operation of corded headsets as well as wire-
less headsets (headsets with a DHSG interface, e.g. from Auerswald, Jabra or
Plantronics). The COMfortel 1600 supports the operation of corded headsets.
Up to three COMfortel Xtension300 key extension modules (not included in the
package) can be attached to the COMfortel 2600 in order to add freely program-
mable function keys. The modules are attached on the right of the telephone. A
completely extended system provides 105 freely programmable function keys.
A standard SD or SDHC card (not included in the package) extends the
COMfortel 2600 with an answering machine.
