g) Frequency measurement / Duty cycle in %

Never exceed the maximum allowable input values. Do not touch circuits or parts of
circuits if there could be voltages higher than 25 VACrms or 35 VDC in them.
Proceed as follows to measure the frequency:
Connect the black test lead to the COM jack and the red test lead to the V/Hz jack so that they are lying
flat on the measuring device.
Set the range selector switch (5) to "mV
VC940, set the range selector switch (5) to "°C °F Hz %" and press the blue button twice. "Hz" appears
on the display.
Now connect the probe tips to the measurement object (generator, circuit, etc.).
The measured value is shown on the main display (12). The active measuring range is shown on the
left subdisplay.
To measure the duty cycle, press the blue button again until "%" appears on the display.
h) Temperature measurement
Never exceed the maximum allowable input values. Do not touch circuits or parts of
circuits if there could be voltages higher than 25 VACrms or 35 VDC in them!
Temperature measurements can only be performed with the input jacks "V°C" = plus and "COM" = minus
and only using type K thermocouple probes.
The temperatures may only be applied at the probe. The measuring device is only specified (guaranteed
accuracy) for an ambient temperature of 23°C (+/-5°C).
Proceed as follows to measure temperatures:
Remove all test leads from the multimeter and set the range selector switch (5) to "°C".
Insert the plugs from the supplied type K thermocouple probe into the "V°C" and "COM" jacks, ensuring
correct polarity; the temperature is now shown on the main display (12) in °C (= Celsius). The active
measuring range is shown on the left subdisplay.
You can switch the temperature units from Celsius to Fahrenheit by pressing the blue button.
The supplied wire thermocouple probe can be used to measure temperatures of
up to +230°C. Using an optional adapter, other temperature probes with standard
miniconnectors can be connected to the DMM.
