SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

We do not assume liability for resulting damages to property or personal injury if the
product has been abused in any way or damaged by improper use or failure to observe
these operating instructions. The warranty/ guarantee will then expire!
The icon with exclamation mark indicates important information in the operating
instructions. Carefully read the whole operating instructions before operating the device,
otherwise there is risk of danger.
This product left the manufacturer's factory in safe and perfect condition.
We kindly ask the user to observe the safety instructions and warnings ("Warning!" and "Note!")
contained in this operating manual to preserve this condition and to ensure safe operation! Please
observe the following symbols:

• For safety and certification reasons (CE), unauthorized conversion and/or modification of the
device is not permitted.
• Consult a specialist if you are not sure how the device works or how to connect it safely.
• Measuring devices and accessories are not toys and should be kept out of reach of children.
• At industrial facilities, the accident prevention regulations of the association of workers'
compensation insurers for electrical systems and equipment must be observed.
• In schools, training centers, and hobby and do-it-yourself shops, handling of measuring
devices must be responsibly supervised by trained personnel.
• Before measuring voltages, always make sure that the measuring device is not set to a
measuring range for currents.
• The voltage between any socket on the measuring device and ground must not exceed 600
VAC/VDC for overvoltage category IV and 1000 VAC/VDC for overvoltage category III.
• The probe tips must be removed from the measurement object every time the measuring
range is changed.
• Be especially careful when dealing with voltages higher than 25 VAC or 35 VDC! Even at
these voltages, you can receive a life-threatening electric shock if you touch electrical lines.
