C) Frequency Measuring/Duty Cycle - VOLTCRAFT 12 23 88 Bedienungsanleitung

Proceed as follows for the diode test:
- Switch on the DMM on the rotary switch (3).
- Select DMM mode with the MODE button.
- Connect the black measuring line with the COM socket
and the red measuring line with the VW socket till they
are plane at the measuring instrument.
- Set the rotary selection switch (3) to Ω.
- Press F1 until (
- Check the measuring leads for continuity by connecting
both measuring prods to one another. After that the
value must be approx. 0 mV.
- Now connect the two measuring prods with the object
to be measured (diode).
- The continuity voltage appears in the display. If „OL" is
indicated, the diode is measured in reverse direction or the diode is faulty (interrup-
tion).

c) Frequency measuring/duty cycle

In no event exceed the max. permitted input values. Do not contact
circuits or parts of circuits if you measure voltages higher than 25V
ACrms or 35V DC pending within them.
Proceed as follows to measure the frequency:
- Switch on the DMM on the rotary switch (3).
- Select DMM mode with the MODE button.
- Connect the black measuring line with the COM socket and the red measuring line
with the V Ω socket till they are plane at the measuring instrument.
- Set the rotary selection switch (3) to Hz.
- Now connect the two measuring prods to the object to be measured (generator,
switching etc.).
- The measuring value is indicated on the display
For duty cycle measuring, press F1 - „DUTY" appears above the F1 button. The dis-
play shows the pulse-break relation of the input signal.
