NOTE 1: The direction of inclination is not always the same for
both the profile curw and the measured surface as it
depends on the positional relationship between the
stylus and the skid as shown in the table.
NOTE 2: The profile curw will be inclined according to the curva-
ture of the measured surface of a workpiece. This type
of inclination can not be offset by levelling. The effect
of curvature of the measured surface, however, can be
reduced by using a detector having a skid and stylus in
the same plane to the direction of trallersing
