7.1 Installation
CAUTION! Danger of damage!
Risk of damage due to inappropriate handling.
Using a chain or rope, suspend the pump only by
the handle or holder – never by the electrical
cable or float cable or pipe/hose connection.
The pump installation site or sump must be free of
frost.
The sump must be cleared of coarse material such
as rubble before setting up and starting the pump.
The pressure pipe must have the nominal diameter
of the pump (DN32).
7.1.1 Stationary wet well installation (Fig. 3)
For stationary wet well installation, sliding tube
installation is simple and easy to maintain.
Installation: Insert the dowels into the floor of the
collecting sump as shown in the attached drawing,
and attach the coupling foot with sliding tubes.
Then attach the pressure pipe, including the
necessary valves, such as the non-return valve
and the gate valve.
Install the sealing frame in the sump opening,
attach the pump to the sliding tubes using its
coupling claw and lower it using a chain fastened
to the shackle.
Hoisting gear must be present above the sump
opening.
7.1.2 Portable wet well installation (Fig. 4)
For portable wet well installation and retrofitting
in existing collection pits, installation using a ped-
estal is uncomplicated and easy to maintain.
Installation:
• Fit the submersible pump with a 90° connection
on the pressure side.
• Then lower it into place in the collection pit
using a chain.
• If being used for short periods, the pump can
also be put into operation using the correspond-
ing plug or control device.
• Make sure the pressure pipe rising out of the pit
is frost-resistant. The pump cover must be
determined according to the intended applica-
tion and the required bearing capacity.

7.2 Electrical connection

DANGER! Risk of fatal injury!
Improper electrical connections can lead to fatal
electrical shocks.
• The electrical connection must be carried out
only by an electrical technician approved by the
local utility company.
• Follow the installation and operating instruc-
tions for the pump, level control device and
other accessories.
Preparation of the electrical connection
• Make sure that the type of current and voltage
of the mains connection corresponds to the
details on the name plate.
• Protect the connection on the mains side.
• Earth the system according to regulations.
• Use an isolating device with a min. 3 mm contact
opening to isolate from the mains.
• Use only slow-blow fuses or category K circuit
breakers as back-up fuses for the pump.
• If the protective device actuates, the cause of
the failure must be remedied before switching
on again.
7.2.1 Thermal winding contact (WSK)
In addition to the excess current draw fault trip
and the motor protection switch, there are also
thermal winding contacts built into the motor
winding. These are suitable for 250 V and 1.2 A
(cos.phi 0.6), and their connections are marked
30 and 32.
7.2.2 Connecting the thermal winding contacts (WSK)
The thermal winding contacts should be con-
nected in such a way that the motor is switched
off via the control circuit when it reaches the trip-
ping temperature. It must be prevented from
automatically reactivating once the winding has
cooled down. The reactivation lock must be "fail-
safe", i.e. the lock must remain in place even after
a power failure (Directive 94/9/EC Annex II 1.5,
EN 60079 Tab.1, B10).
