7. Maintenance

Your digital multimeter is a precision electronic devise. Do not tamper
with the circuitry. To avoid damage:
1. Never connect more than 600 V DC or AC
2. Never connect a source of voltage with function switch on
position and - position.
3. Never operate the DMM unless the battery cover is in place
and fully closed.
4. Battery and/or fuse replacement should only be done after the
test leads have been disconnected and power is off.
7.1. Battery Replacement
Note the condition of the 9-V-battery using the procedure described
above. If the battery needs to be replaced, open the battery cover by
lose the 2 screws and remove the spent battery and replace with a
battery of the same type.
Batteries, which are used up dispose duly. Used up batteries are
hazardous and must be given in the for this being supposed collective
container.
7.2. Fuse Replacement
If a fuse replacement is necessary, loose the two screws at the
battery compartment on the back of the case and remove the 9V
battery. Now you can lose the 4 screws of the housing and remove
the rear housing part. Now remove the defective fuse and replace it
with a fuse of the same type and dimensions.
Should the fuse need replacement, use only fuses identical in
physical size to the original (0,2 A/250 V) / (10 A/250 V).
