Backup Battery
The backup battery 37 serves to supply emergency
power to the access point.
Activate the backup battery (see Mounting > Con-
nections of the EXAConnecT > Terminal Program
Settings) in order to prevent any data loss at the
EXAConnecT access point.
When the backup battery 37 loses power, there ap-
pears in the display 1 of the EXAConnecT the status
code EO (see Status Codes).
Replace the backup battery during operation, be-
cause, otherwise, there is a threat of data loss.

Remove the maintenance cover plate 2 on the volt-
age-free EXAConnecT by unscrewing the two small
bottom Phillips screws 3. You thus gain access to
the backup battery 37.

Remove the old battery 37 and insert a new standard
AAA microcell battery.
Take care that you insert the battery in the
proper orientation!
Fix the maintenance cover plate 2 back in place on
the tool housing of the EXAConnecT by tightening
the two small bottom Phillips screws 3.

Bus Slot

The bus slot 38 offers the possibility of connecting
additional hardware cards (e.g., a graphics card).
Such cards are available as accessories.
Reset Button

Remove the maintenance cover plate 2 on the volt-
age-free EXAConnecT by unscrewing the two small
bottom Phillips screws 3. You thus gain access to
the reset button 39.
The reset button 39 has a two-step operation.
Restart:
Press down the reset button 39 only briefly (re-
boot).
Reset:
For this function, all data is deleted and is
lost!
Press down the reset button 39 for longer than
three seconds.
The settings of the EXAConnecT access point are re-
set to the state on delivery (factory settings). There
then appears in the display 1 "--".
