There appears a message that all data are deleted
and you are asked whether you still want to save
the data locally.
Note: Save the data in order to prevent loss of
data.
Below the screw fastener table, a static legend enu-
merates all error codes that can be displayed for a
flawed screw fastener.
In the bottom area of the EXAConnecT Register Card
are displayed the identification data of the access
point (see EXAConnecT Setup > Identification).
The Setup button allows you to enter directly
EXAConnecT Setup, where you can make the set-
tings for the access point and log on the screwdriver.
EXAConnecT Setup
This Setup is divided into the areas:
– Identification
– Screwdrivers
– Access Point Parameters
– TCP/IP Settings
– Data Base Protocol
– COM Port Devices
– Save/Load settings to/from File
– System buttons
When EXAConnecT Setup is opened the first time,
certain values are provided as default values or set-
tings are activated (default setting).
Identification
Information fields, which you cannot change, appear
first:
– Device Type
– Bluetooth Address
– Serial Number
– Sofware Version with date
Three editing fields follow, in which you can enter
your own data:
– User Name with at most 19 characters,
– User ID with at most 19 characters,
– User Information with at most 39 characters.
Screwdrivers
Shown in the left field are the screwdrivers that have
been found (at most ten). Appearing in the right field are
the screwdrivers that are logged on (at most seven).
When EXAConnecT Setup is opened for the first time,
both fields are empty.
Located between the two fields are the buttons for
the functions Search, Connect, and Remove.
To log on a screwdriver, first click on the button
Search:
The EXAConnecT searches in a radius of 10 m for
Bosch industrial rechargeable battery-operated
screwdrivers of the series BT-EXACT/BT-AN-
GLEEXACT and shows on the display screen the
information Searching for Bosch BT Exact screw-
drivers...
3 609 929 A58 • (05.09) T
If no Bosch BT screwdrivers have been found, the
error message NNo Bosch BT Exact screwdrivers
found! appears, which you must confirm with OK.
Only Bosch industrial rechargeable battery-operat-
ed screwdrivers that are switched on and whose
rechargeable battery power is still adequate to
transmit the Bluetooth
are listed in the left field Found. After 10 screwdriv-
ers are found, the search operation is terminated.
Mark one of the screwdrivers that are found and click
on the button Connect:
The marked screwdriver vanishes from the field
Found and appears after a short time in the field
Connected.
Note: Wait until the marked screwdriver appears
in the log-on list before you proceed to the next
screwdriver. Otherwise, the Bluetooth
tion will be severed.
If seven screwdrivers are already logged on, there
appears an error message, which you must con-
firm. An additional screwdriver can no longer be
logged on.
When the connection to a screwdriver has failed,
there appears the error message BT connection to
screwdriver... failed! You must confirm this error
message with OK.
In order to remove a screwdriver from the field Con-
nected, mark it and click on the button Remove:
The marked screwdriver is deleted from the log-
on list.
Note: Save the data in order to prevent loss of
data.
Screwdrivers that are logged on but are not locat-
ed in the wireless range are also kept in the log-
on list and can be deleted by marking them and
clicking on the button Remove.
