8. COMMISSIONING AND MENU STRUCTURE

a) Completion of Connection Lines

First, solder the plug connections matching your rechargeable batteries to the open ends
of the input and output lines (see figure 1, items 2 and 3) and isolate the plug connections
against unintended short circuit.
Important!
Plugs (like at the rechargeable battery) must be installed on one line pair,
sockets (like on the charger) on the other. The red cable is intended for plus
connection (+) and the black one for the minus connection (-). To prevent
wrong measurements, always ensure best contact of the plug connections.
The connection lines should be kept as short as possible.
b) Connecting the 7 in 1 Multimeter
Depending on measuring function, the 7 in 1 multimeter either has to be connected to a
rechargeable battery/voltage source at the input sockets ("INPUT"), or to a rechargeable
battery at the balancer connection. The maximum input voltage of 60 V/DC must not be
exceeded at the input sockets.
Once voltage is applied, the multimeter emits a signal sound and the 3-line starting display
appears in the display (see next page, figure 3, top left).
c) Calling the Individual Items in the Menu Structure
After the starting display appears, you can call the menu with the "ENTER" button. If the
button sound was activated in the "SET UP" menu, the device will emit a signal sound at
every push of a button. The top-most menu item "BATTERY CHECKER" is already se-
lected and highlighted with a black background.
Pressing the button "MODE" will now enable you to switch a step downwards in the menu
structure. The respective menu item selected is highlighted with a black background. Once
the bottom-most menu item is reached, the next push of a button will return you to the top-
most menu item.
Use the "BACK/ESC" button to exit the menu structure and return to the starting display.
