This symbol on the instrument indicates that the user should refer to the manual for operating instructions.
The vial port contains sharp needles designed to pierce the septa of sample vials. Do not put fingers or
inappropriate materials into the vial port.
Water in the iOS System may be hot. Before inserting a vial into the iOS System, slide the door open and
wait 30 seconds to allow sample to completely drain. Inserting a vial before draining can result in
potentially hot water spray projecting upward out of the iOS System.
This symbol indicates the protective earth terminal (ground) for the Analyzer.
This symbol indicates that to comply with European Union Directive 2002/96/EC for waste electrical and
electronic equipment (WEEE), the Analyzer should be disposed of separately from standard waste.
This symbol on the instrument indicates that the user should refer to the manual for instructions on filling
the DI water cartridge, as found in the Installation and Maintenance chapters.
