• Before refuelling, switch off the combustion engine
and let it cool down.
• Open the fuel cap carefully and slowly. Wait for the
pressure to equalise and only then remove the fuel fill-
er cap completely.
• Use a suitable funnel or filler pipe for refuelling so that
no fuel can spill onto the combustion engine and
housing.
Do not overfill the fuel tank!
• The tank cover must be properly screwed on and
tightened after each refuelling operation. The product
must not be put into operation without the original tank
cover screwed on.
• If fuel has overflowed, do not start the combustion en-
gine until the area contaminated with fuel has been
cleaned. Avoid starting the engine until the fuel va-
pours have evaporated (wipe dry).
• Only store fuel in containers (canisters) designed for
this purpose.
• Never store the product with fuel in the tank inside a
building. Any fuel vapours produced can come into
contact with naked flames or sparks and ignite.
• Do not place the product and fuel tank near heaters,
radiant heaters, welding machines or other sources of
heat.
• Allow the engine to cool before storing the product in
an enclosed area.
• Keep fuel away from children.

Use and maintenance of the
product
• Never pick up or carry the product if the engine is run-
ning.
• Do not handle the product violently.
• Do not change the speed governor setting of the en-
gine or over-rev it. The safe maximum working speed
regulates the speed and protects the engine and all
rotating parts from damage due to excess speed.
Contact customer service if you have any problems.
• Do not run the engine at high speeds when not com-
pacting.
• Keep hands and feet away from the rotating parts.
• Avoid contact with hot fuel, oil, exhaust gases and hot
surfaces. Do not touch the engine or exhaust silencer.
These parts become particularly hot during use. They
are still hot a short time after the product is switched
off.
• Allow the engine to cool down before maintenance
and cleaning work, as well as before storage.
• If the product starts to make unusual noises or vibra-
tions, switch the engine off immediately, disconnect
the spark plug connector and determine the cause.
Unusual noises or vibrations are usually a safety sign
of faults.
• Only use assembly and accessory parts approved by
the manufacturer. Failure to do so may result in injury.
• Maintain the product carefully. Check for misalignment
or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any
other condition that may affect the product's opera-

tion. Have damaged parts repaired before using the
product. Many accidents are caused by poorly main-
tained products.
• Keep the engine, silencer and fuel tank free of dust,
branches and leaves. Fire hazard!
• Never immerse the product in water or other liquids
for cleaning.
• Keep the handle dry, clean and free of oil and grease.
Handles and guards must be undamaged.
• We recommend that you clean the product directly af-
ter every use.
• Dispose of the used oil properly.
• Store the product in a dry place and out of reach of
children.

Service
• Before cleaning, repairing, inspecting or adjusting,
switch off the engine and ensure that all moving parts
have come to a standstill.
• Always ensure that the engine switch is in the "OFF"
position. Disconnect the spark plug connector and
keep it away from the spark plug to prevent accidental
start-up.
• Have your product serviced by qualified personnel.
Only use original spare parts. This ensures that the
product remains safe.
